Must-Try Food & Drinks in Baguio

Baguio isn’t just about restaurants and cafés—it’s also home to unique food and drinks that you shouldn’t miss.
Strawberry or Ube Taho ✨
Baguio’s version of taho is different from the usual. Instead of just caramel syrup, it comes with fresh strawberries or ube, giving it a sweet, creamy, and slightly tart flavor.
It’s a must-try treat while strolling around the city or even on a cool night. You’ll find taho vendors early in the morning, especially at tourist spots in Baguio such as Burnham Park or Mines View.
A cup costs around 50 pesos—this was the first thing I had on my second visit to Baguio, and I’d do it again!
Ube Halaya at Good Shepherd ✨
Good Shepherd Convent is famous for its ube halaya, a rich and creamy purple yam dessert made fresh daily. People line up for it, and for good reason!
The best part? Proceeds help fund scholarships for students. If you’re looking for the perfect souvenir from Baguio, this is a must-buy. Just be prepared to wait in line—it’s that popular!
Choco-late de Batirol ✨

Choco-late de Batirol is known for its thick, rich, and traditional Filipino hot chocolate made from local cacao. It’s the perfect drink to warm you up on a chilly Baguio morning.
Many restaurants serve this comforting drink and if you’ve stopped drinking coffee (like I have), this is a great alternative! Pair it with suman (sticky rice cake) for the full experience.
Baguio Coffee ✨
Baguio has a strong coffee culture, and many cafés use locally grown beans. If you love coffee, try Benguet Arabica—it’s smooth, slightly sweet, and not too bitter.
You can find it in different cafés, but if you want to bring some home, look for bags of beans sold at the Baguio public market or Good Shepherd.
Baguio Craft Brewery Beers ✨
If you enjoy craft beer, Baguio Craft Brewery is a must-visit. They offer a variety of locally brewed beers, from light and citrusy to dark and strong.
The brewery focuses on using natural ingredients, so the flavors are fresh and unique. If you’re not sure what to get, try a sampler so you can taste different brews.
