Siquijor is a tiny island in the Philippines and is a haven for beach lovers, nature enthusiasts, and everyone seeking a touch of adventure.
With its beautiful coastlines, rainforests, mystical charm, and must-try delicacies, Siquijor Island offers a unique vacation experience.
But to truly make the most of your island getaway, finding the perfect place to stay is crucial. 🤔

On different trips, I’ve tried peaceful glamping at Aquamare, a sea-view stay at Villa Marmarine, Blue Wave Inn, and Danish Lagoon, a mountain retreat at South Mountain, a budget-friendly but spacious room at The Sylvia, and of course homey provincial stay at my friend’s house.
I intend to try more different accommodations on my next visit to the island but for now, in this guide, we’ll explore the top 16 Siquijor resorts, catering to a variety of budgets, travel styles, and preferences.
I’ll also drop some tips that I recently learned that might be helpful during your stay in Isla del Fuego!
Budget-friendly Accommodation: The Sylvia
Mid-range Stay: The Bruce Luxury Private Cottage
Luxury Resort: Coco Grove Beach Resort
Glamping: Aquamare Beach Camp Resort
🌊 Beach Resorts
1. Coco Grove Beach Resort

This fancy resort is located in San Juan, Siquijor near Tubod Marine Sanctuary and is a perfect place for families and those seeking a pampered vacation.
It has comfortable rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi.

This resort also has multiple pools and restaurants that serve local and international food.
One of the best things about this hotel, based on my experience, is the beautiful sunset view from the white sandy beach, where you can enjoy a fresh fruit shake (I ordered the watermelon).

📌 Tip: Coco Grove Beach Resort may be expensive for some but if you still want to visit this place and try the food in their restaurant without making a reservation, you can walk in in the afternoon (before dinner time) or during the day and tell the guard outside that you want to have a snack on the restaurant. They’ll communicate first in the kitchen but most of the time, they’ll have free tables for you.
2. The Bruce Luxury Private Cottage

The Bruce Luxury Private Cottage offers a unique blend of luxury and comfort without breaking your bank, with beachfront access for sun seekers and kitchens in some rooms for those who prefer cooking their own meals.
This could be a great choice for a relaxing getaway with friends or family, offering a homey feel right on the beautiful Siquijor Island and into one of Siquijor beaches perfect for families, Solangon Beach.

My family stayed here last 2023 for a weekend and even my lola, who’s already in her 80’s had a great time during her stay.
3. Villa Marmarine Restaurant and Beach Resort

Villa Marmarine, on Siquior Island’s Candanay Sur Beach, is a mid-range resort run by a Japanese family.
Their rooms are a good size and come with air conditioning, private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and breakfast all included.
Plus, you get a beautiful view of the beach right outside your window. They also have a restaurant where you can try both Filipino food and Japanese dishes.

The owners are really friendly and the last time I stayed here I saw a tennis court within the premises but I wasn’t sure if it could be used.
For details about my stay here, check my review post of Villa Marmarine Resort and Restaurant.
4. White Villas Resort

Offering a chilled-out beach vibe for those seeking a peaceful stay, White Villas Resort is a small and cozy resort with free Wi-Fi, and a sunset bar for enjoying the scenery.
While the beach at the resort isn’t the best for swimming, but still great for building sand castles, they have a pool for lounging, and they can arrange motorbike rentals or island tours to discover Siquijor’s tourist spots.
5. Royal Cliff Resort
This clifftop resort offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and stunning sunsets.
The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with your needs and the quiet cottages are also well-maintained.
You can enjoy activities like snorkeling and take a leisurely 14-minute walk to Maite Beach. Plus, it’s just a 4-minute walk to Tubod Beach.
The resort’s location is highly rated by guests, making it a great choice for a relaxing getaway.
6. Infinity Sands Resort
An establishment with spacious rooms and is located right by the beach.
The restaurant deck and Beach Bar are perfect spots to savor the magnificent Visayan sunsets. Guests can unwind in the outdoor swimming pool or take a dip in the hot tub.
The staff is exceptional and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. Plus, it’s conveniently located near San Juan Beach and Maite Beach.
7. Dolce Amore Resort
Dolce Amore Resort offers a relaxing stay in Siquijor with an on-site Italian restaurant for convenient delicious meals.
Guests can unwind by the pool, in the garden, or on the terrace, and the resort’s location near Siquijor town means easy access to shops and restaurants.

8. Aloha Seaside Resort
This resort offers a budget-friendly beachfront stay in Siquijor, perfect for those who prioritize location and ease of access to the beach.
Guests praise the friendly staff, and the resort includes a pool, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and a bar, and it’s cat-friendly.
⛰️ Mountain Resorts
9. South Mountain Resort

South Mountain Resort sits in Siquijor’s hills, offering amazing views and comfy cottages, a restaurant, and a swimming pool to keep you cool.
Love dogs? This place is heaven! Get a friendly welcome drink and meet some of their awesome resident dogs with rockstar names like Justin, Shakira, and Celine.

It’s perfect for a quiet and relaxing mountain escape and you can also see some fireflies at night!
10. Infinity Heights Resort
A cozy mountain resort with personalized boutique charm, Infinity Heights Resort offers tranquil hillside rooms with sea views stretching to distant islands.
Facing north, it provides panoramic sea vistas. Guests praise the quiet and exclusive atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation.
Plus, you can take a dip in their famous “guitar-shaped” infinity pool overlooking the sea. All this comes at a potential cost, so Infinity Heights might be ideal for travelers seeking a luxurious and scenic escape.
11. Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley resorts in Siquijor generally offer a peaceful and secluded escape for nature lovers.
Located away from tourist crowds but very near the Old Enchanted Balete Tree, this place comes with basic but comfy amenities, immersing you in Siquijor’s natural beauty.
You can expect a chance to disconnect and relax surrounded by gardens or even sea views. If a back-to-nature experience is what you seek, Hidden Valley could be your perfect Siquijor sanctuary.
⛺ Glamping Resorts
12. Aquamare Beach Camp Resort

Located in Larena, Siquijor, this resort sets itself apart with glamping! Instead of regular rooms, you stay in fancy tents with all the comforts of home.
It’s on a quiet beach and perfect for a relaxing escape. They have a pool, restaurant, bar, and even free Wi-Fi. Plus, parking is a breeze.
The only catch is the bathrooms are separate from the tents, but don’t worry, each dome has its own private one nearby.

All this at a reasonable price makes Aquamare a great choice for affordable glamping in a peaceful location.
13. Siquijor Glamping Village

Siquijor Glamping Village lets you camp in style on San Juan Beach! Choose from tents or rooms with air conditioning, all facing the sea.
Perfect for groups of 2 to 8, you can enjoy room service, chill by the beach, and catch live music. Plus, it’s easy to meet people here.
The location on Solangon Beach is ideal for families with kids and boasts beautiful sunsets.
14. RUNIK Siquijor – Adults Only

Craving a grown-up escape? RUNIK Siquijor offers adults-only glamping with a touch of luxury.
Escape the daily grind and relax by the pool or unwind in the jacuzzi. They have an on-site restaurant, plus music and entertainment to keep you happy.
Choose from air-conditioned glamping tents with comfy beds, linens, and toiletries included. The “adults only” part means they have an open bar that might not be suitable for kids.

🌴 Treehouses
15. Mandala Tribe Treehouses
These unique treehouse accommodations provide a comfortable and unforgettable stay surrounded by nature, and the aesthetic vibe it gives.
Each room at Mandala Tribe Treehouses has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a balcony for enjoying the views. People love the beautiful scenery, comfy hammocks, and friendly staff.
🏠 Bonus
16. The Sylvia

A budget-friendly accommodation that even my relatives were shocked when I told them where this place is located and how cheap but with good inclusions of amenities.
Located just across the highway from Solangon Beach (specifically across White Villas Resort), we found The Sylvia when we decided to extend our stay in Siquijor Island for one more day.
Looking for a room that is good for two and with an ideal location, I was lucky that I found this gem.
The best part is that we can access the pool and other amenities at The Bruce for free. I guess they’re like sister company.

However, during our stay, we experienced a blackout/brownout and the signal was weak in this area.
But if you’re a bookworm or someone who doesn’t mind being detached from technology, this place has a really big common room where anyone can do yoga or read or buy books from the many shelves of both the first and second floors.

For about Php 600 – 850 per night, the spacious room had a high ceiling and private comfort room, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, clean towels, and a gallon of water were provided although there was no hot water for showers.
But hey, that’s fine and I think what we paid for was more than worth it! 😉
Best Ways to Reach Siquijor

Siquijor Island is mostly accessible by boat, with flights landing at the nearest airport in Dumaguete on Negros Island. So if you’re coming from Manila, Dumaguete is your ideal gateway.
Here’s how to get to Siquijor depending on where you start:
⛴️ Dumaguete
Several ferry companies like OceanJet, Montenegro Shipping, Aleson Shipping, and HS Star Marine can take you from Dumaguete to Siquijor. This route is also the ideal gateway for tourists planning to go from Manila to Siquijor.
⛴️ Cebu
Catch an OceanJet ferry with a connection from Cebu to Tagbilaran (Bohol) then Siquijor. Alternatively, a ferry from Cebu’s Liloan Port goes directly to Siquijor, though the trip takes about 6 hours. For a more detailed guide, read my post on “The Best Way to Get from Cebu to Siquijor“.
⛴️ Bohol
Island hops with OceanJet from Tagbilaran to Siquijor, or take Lite Ferries from Tagbilaran to Larena on Siquijor.

Getting Around Siquijor

Siquijor Island is small and very easy to explore!
Not to mention that there is no traffic here and they have good roads even on the mountainside. On your visit to the island, here are the options on how to get around:
🛵 Motorbike Rental
This is the most popular choice. Rent one for 350-500 pesos daily and explore at your own pace. It’s a great way to see waterfalls, beaches, and the underwater world.
I always choose this option even before my first visit and luckily my friend owns a motor rental business so it’s less hassle for me to find one.
🛺 Tricycle
These are slower than motorbikes but cheaper, costing around 1000 pesos for a day’s hire. It can accommodate more than two or at most five people in one ride and you get your own friendly driver.
🚙 Tours
Want to see the sights without planning? Book a Siquijor tour! Many companies offer trips to top spots like the Balete Tree, Cambugahay Falls, Salagdoong Beach, and Lazi Church. You can also get a package on the port if you aren’t prepared at all or ask your resort or hotel if they have a tour package.
🚙 Jeepney
This is the budget option suitable for larger groups, friends, or families traveling together. Jeepneys are also cheap costing around 1500 pesos daily.
How Long to Stay on Siquijor Island?

The ideal time to spend on Siquijor depends on your travel style. If you want to relax on the beach and explore the main attractions, 3-4 days is a good starting point.
However, if you want to explore deeper into the island’s natural beauty and hidden gems, consider staying for a week or more.
In the past I’ve tried staying three days, an overnight, and on my recent visit, for five days in Isla del Fuego.
What to Pack?
👕 Light and breathable clothing: Pack plenty of comfortable shirts, shorts, sundresses, and swimwear. Opt for natural fabrics like cotton and linen to stay cool in the heat.
😎 Sun protection: A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen are essential to shield yourself from the strong Philippine sun.
🩱 Swimwear: Pack multiple swimsuits for beach days and exploring Siquijor’s waterfalls and hidden coves. This may be an option for some though.
🩴 Comfortable walking shoes: Sturdy sandals or shoes are ideal for exploring the island’s terrain, from sandy beaches to rocky trails.
🧥 Light jacket: While evenings are generally warm, a light jacket or sweater can be handy for occasional cooler nights, especially in the mountains.
☔ Rain gear: If you’re visiting during the rainy season (June to October), pack a raincoat or umbrella for sudden downpours.
🥤 Reusable water bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial in the tropics. To minimize plastic waste, opt for a reusable water bottle.
🪥 Personal toiletries: Pack your usual toiletries, but remember that some resorts may provide basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner.
📸 Camera: Capture the beauty of Siquijor with a camera. Don’t forget a waterproof case if you plan on taking underwater photos.
🔌 Adapter: The Philippines uses the standard two-prong plug (Type A). If you’re coming from a country with a different plug type, pack a travel adapter.
