Located on Panglao Island, a short bridge ride away from Bohol’s main island – Tagbilaran, Alona boasts a stunning stretch of white sand beach with turquoise waters.

Here, you can find a plethora of beachfront resorts, restaurants, and bars, catering to all tastes and budgets.

Just be careful with your expenses, stores and foods in Alona can be expensive.

This beach is a total hidden gem located on the eastern coast of Bohol’s main island.

It has a long stretch of pristine white sand and calm turquoise waters where you can also see the tall mountains of Camiguin Island across the sea.

This Bohol beach offers a more laid-back atmosphere, it’s also budget-friendly, and you can actually have good conversations with locals here!

Definitely a must visit tourist spot if you want to go beyond the usual famous places in Bohol.

Aside from diving, snorkeling is also a popular activity here that’s why it’s a favorite among tourists who availed of an island-hopping activity in Bohol.

9. Virgin Island 🏝️

Pungtud Island, more commonly known as Virgin Island to tourists, is a pristine and very popular paradise to visitors.

This tiny islet near Panglao Island emerges from the sea during low tide, revealing a stretch of powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-clear waters.

It’s the perfect spot to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy a picnic.

While there are no permanent structures on the island, visitors can enjoy the basic amenities provided by boat operators, such as beach umbrellas and refreshments.

There are also vendors selling foods around the island but make sure to ask for the price before eating them because there’s been an issue before of how overpriced the foods were.

UPDATE: Sadly, Virgin Island (also known as Puntod Island) is temporarily closed for six months to a year due to vandalism of its coral reefs. 🥺
