1. Salagdoong Beach 🏖️
Siquijor Salagdoong Beach is famous for its cliff diving opportunities and is one of the popular Siquijor tourist destinations.
I even did cliff jumping when I first visited Siquijor Island. Although it was an epic failure and my back hurt after the jump, still it was one for the book.
The adrenaline junkies among us will appreciate the thrill of leaping into the blue waters from the rocky cliffs.
Don’t worry; there are shallower areas for those who prefer a gentler entry.
2. Paliton Beach 🏖️
A photographer’s dream, a paradise for beach lovers, one of the best beaches in Siquijor, and a favorite tourist spot in Isla del Fuego, Paliton Beach is a long stretch of powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters that create a postcard-worthy scene.
Sunset at Paliton Beach, Siquijor is nothing short of magical. As the sun descends beneath the horizon, the sky transforms into a warm-toned canvas. Our last-minute drive here was worth it!
Locals have also set up a swing near the shore, allowing visitors to sway gently while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
You can even ask someone, aka human drones, to take photos or videos of you. Trust me, this is an experience that you should try.
3. Sabas Beach 🏖️
Located in the picturesque village of Sitio Ilihan Simacolong, near Lazi, Sabas Beach and Campsite is a tranquil haven where nature and relaxation meet.
This beachfront retreat offers a quiet escape for travelers seeking peace and simplicity. Perfect for those tourists who want to avoid the crowd.
You can stay in cozy huts or camp by the beach and you can go snorkeling or fishing on the crystal-clear water.

4. Tubod Beach 🏖️
Tubod Beach is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Imagine soft, powdery white sand that feels like a gentle hug for your feet. The water is crystal clear, inviting you to take a dip and what’s even more exciting is the marine sanctuary located here.
You can also lie on the fine sand, and soak up the sun, and for the adventurous, snorkeling and scuba diving rentals are available.
Also, don’t ever miss the magical sunset at Tubod Beach, where the sky turns warm hues.
We experienced this magic when we dined at Coco Grove Beach Resort. It was a perfect way to end our day after touring the highlands of Siquijor province.
5. Pontod Beach 🏖️
Another hidden gem waiting to be discovered and one of the beaches in Siquijor, Pontod Beach is an off-the-beaten destination, unlike its more famous neighbors such as Paliton Beach.
This beach remains a well-kept secret known mostly to locals with crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and another perfect spot to witness the breathtaking sunset.
Its rocky coastline also provides excellent photo ops, especially during low tide.
6. Solangon Beach 🏖️
Solangon Beach is a favorite among locals. Its shallow waters are perfect for families with young children where you can build sandcastles and soak up the sun.
My family went to one of the Siquijor resorts located here last year and they, I mean from my nephews and nieces to my Lola who’s in her 80s, had so much fun the entire time.
This beach offers clear turquoise waters and soft white sand perfect for leisurely walks or a refreshing dip.
The beach is also lined with graceful palm trees, providing natural shades for those lazy afternoons. You might even see some trees with swings on them!
7. Secret Beach 🏖️
Also known as Bacong Beach, this is a hidden gem located on the southeast tip of Siquijor Island.
This secluded spot offers crystal-clear waters, scattered boulders, and a patch of deep turquoise – all yours to explore.
Swimming might be a bit tricky due to the sharp rocks and the lively waves, but the sheer serenity of this place makes it worth the journey.
Too bad we didn’t have the chance to visit this place because we got lost going there. Indeed, it was a secret beach (no pun intended 🤭).
8. Kagusuan Beach 🏖️
Kagusuan Beach is a secluded top spot for travelers exploring Siquijor.
Here, you’ll find soft white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, towering coconut trees, and intriguing rock formations scattered throughout.
The whole place exudes a serene, off-the-beaten-path vibe.
Situated along the southeastern coast of Maria, Siquijor, Kagusuan Beach reveals its true beauty during sunrise, when the sun breaks the darkness of night.
Despite its rustic charm, Kagusuan Beach can be a bit challenging to reach. But let me tell you, the journey is well worth it.
9. Candanay Sur Beach 🏖️
Tucked away on the northern tip of Siquijor Island, Candanay Sur Beach is a tranquil haven waiting to be explored.
Unlike its more popular counterparts, this Siquijor beach remains blissfully untouched by crowds.
Candanay Sur Beach offers a mix of sand and pebbles and is an excellent spot for beachcombing and collecting unique seashells.
It was a rainy afternoon when I first visited this place, but the gloomy weather and the white sand were still a perfect combination that is fitted for my IG feed.
We stayed at one of Siquijor beach resorts, Villa Marmarine Resort, on our second visit, which meant waking up and having a free breakfast with a view of Candanay Sur Beach.

If your schedule doesn’t allow for a visit to the other stunning Siquijor beaches on the island, fear not!
Pier Beach, located discreetly next to the Siquijor Port, offers an unexpected oasis.
Here, you can savor the best of both worlds: proximity to the port and the bliss of a pristine beach.
Dip your toes into the inviting, crystal-clear waters. Sink your feet into the soft, powdery white sand, and unlike the typical pier scenes with debris floating around, Pier Beach surprises visitors with its immaculate shoreline.
No litter, just pure coastal beauty.
Every time the boat we rode docked at the pier, I still recall thinking, “This beach is enough.” And indeed, it was—an unassuming Siquijor beach waiting to be discovered.

Siquijor is also a diver’s paradise. Head to Tulapos Marine Sanctuary for vibrant coral reefs, colorful fish, and the chance to spot sea turtles.
Tulapos Marine Sanctuary, established in 1986, holds the distinction of being Siquijor’s oldest marine sanctuary. Encompassing more than 14 hectares, this coastal haven has a captivating blend of beaches, mangrove forests, coral reefs, and shorelines.
What sets Tulapos apart from other marine sanctuaries is its remarkable biodiversity. Beneath its blue waters, you’ll encounter a vibrant community of marine creatures, including jackfishes, schools of barracudas, sea turtles, giant clams, and occasionally, blacktip reef sharks.

🐡 Arrival and Registration: Upon reaching the sanctuary, you’ll find a modest makeshift building serving as the registration point for snorkeling. Here, you can rent snorkeling gear such as flippers and goggles, and pay the necessary fees.
🐡 High Tide Exploration: During high tide, swim toward the rocky section to start your snorkeling journey. Along the way, you’ll encounter giant clams and starfish. Keep in mind that this route involves more swimming but offers rewarding underwater sights.
🐡 Low Tide Tranquility: When the tide recedes, take a leisurely walk through the shallow waters and admire the giant clams as you stroll along. But be careful, don’t put your hands on its opening because it may get stuck and that will probably cause a big problem.
🐡 Mind the Rocks: Beyond the shallow area lies a rocky stretch. Be cautious of the sharp rocks underfoot. Wearing aqua shoes is advisable to protect your feet.
🐡 Guided Exploration: Your knowledgeable guide will lead you to the barracudas. In just a few minutes, you’ll witness the graceful movements of these fascinating fish.

After getting to Siquijor, the next thing you’ll plan is how to get around the island.
When it comes to navigating Isla del Fuego, renting a motorbike is the way to go.
For just PHP 300-500 per day, you can have the freedom to explore at your own pace. The island, though small, holds a wealth of natural wonders waiting to be discovered.
Renting a scooter is not only practical but also exhilarating. With a motorbike, you can easily reach Siquijor waterfalls, Siquijor beaches, and other Siquijor tourist spots such as the Siquijor Butterfly Garden.
During my visits, I always opt for this option. And here’s the secret: my college friend owns a motor rental shop on the island and she’s my go-to local tour guide on my last visit for touring off-the-beaten-path destinations.
Her local expertise ensures that every adventure we do is memorable and hassle-free.
🛺 Tricycle
Tricycles are another common way to get around on Siquijor Island. They’re not as fast as motorbikes, but they also cost less. You can rent a tricycle for about PHP 1,000 per day.
🚙 Tour
If you want to explore the beautiful places on Siquijor Island such as the Siquijor waterfalls, Siquijor beaches and other Siquijor tourist spots without thinking about how to get there, you can avail a package tour.
There are local guides who organize trips to popular Siquijor spots like the Old Enchanted Balete Tree, Cambugahay Falls, Salagdoong Beach, and the Lazi Church and Convent.
🚙 Jeepney
Jeepneys are like big colorful buses that many people use for getting around in the Philippines. You can find them on Siquijor Island too.
They’re not as fast as tricycles, but they also cost less and can fit more passengers inside it. If you want to ride one, it’ll cost you about PHP 1,500 per day.
What are the Best Months to Go to Siquijor?
The best time to explore Siquijor is between November and April, which corresponds to the dry season.
During these months, you’ll encounter clear skies, warm temperatures, and minimal chances of storms or typhoons.
Avoid planning your trip during the wet season (June to October), as heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans.
However, if you’re a fan of waterfalls, this period is when they come alive in their full splendor.
How Many Days Is Enough in Siquijor?
When planning a visit to the island of Siquijor, consider spending either 3 days for a leisurely exploration or 2 days if you’re short on time.
With 3 days, you’ll have ample time to experience the island’s highlights, including beautiful waterfalls, breathtaking beaches, and underwater wonders.
Alternatively, a 2-day itinerary allows you to focus on must-see spots like Lugnason Falls, the Enchanted Balete Tree, Lazi Church, and Cambugahay Falls.
On my first visit, we did 3 days and 2 nights. For the second one, we spent overnight on the island, and for our recent trip, we made it to 5 days and 4 nights.
We couldn’t get enough of the island!
